How We Research
Every guide on JollyDen starts with one question: will this product work for the person who is shopping for it? For our kitchen faucet guides, that means your sink, your counter and the way you use the water every day.
Here is how we answer it.
1. We start with the sink and the counter
The number of holes in your sink or counter decides which faucets fit, and the height under a window or cabinet limits the spout. A single-handle faucet and a two-handle one suit different set-ups.
We check the hole count and deck plate notes the maker lists, the spout height and reach, and whether a model is made for a deep basin or a shallow one. When your kitchen limits the choice, we say what to measure.
2. We compare specs and features
We look at spout height and reach, pull-down or pull-out hose length, spray modes, handle type and finish. For touchless and touch models we note the sensor type and what powers it.
Moen and Delta describe their valves, finishes and tech in their own words, so we name the brand for every claim. We also note the warranty terms the maker lists.
3. We look at buyer feedback
We read through what buyers report after using a faucet. We look for patterns, like leaks at the base, weak sprayer hoses, finishes that wear, sensors that act up or hard installs.
One angry review doesn't sink a product. A pattern does.
4. We score each product
Our score weighs specs, features and buyer feedback against what you're shopping for. A product that's great for one kitchen may score lower in a guide written for another.
Scores spread out on purpose. A 10 is rare.
5. We keep pages up to date
Products change, and some disappear from stores. Moen and Delta each sell many faucets with similar names, so we check each model name and code, and we only link new units.
When we update a guide, the "Updated on" date at the top changes with it.
What our picks are not
Our picks are research, not lab tests. We don't claim to have installed or used every faucet we cover.
Our guides don't replace the maker's install sheet. For fitting, supply lines and water shut-off, follow the maker's directions or ask a licensed plumber.
We don't promise that any faucet will fit every sink or never leak. We make no promises about water quality or plumbing code, and when a maker makes a claim, we label it as the maker's claim.
